Today I have received Juminhyo – Japanese residence card. This certificate will ensure various government services like National Health Insurance. I was so happy to get it easily and smoothly from the government services without any hassle and delay. I was feeling relaxed after getting this in my hand . In Bangladesh, it happens oppositely. I generally, don’t want to go in Bangladesh government office and not interested to get the services, as it takes time, however, Bangladesh officer talk to much and mixed the personal and official relationship, however directly or indirectly ask ‘Gus’ ( split money ).
In Bangladesh, particularly in Dhaka, firstly I don’t want to give any Gus/ Bokshis/ split money, but when I understand – if I go 5 times for one work I need much transportation and time plus energy loss, it is better to give. I understand, by comparing government office and officers attitude, still Bangladeshi officer(s) could not overcome ‘Shamantobadi’/ ‘Pakistani Attitute’ to hold and or show power. Here in Japan officer(s) says “Sir! ( Okiakshama/ San/ dear customer )”, but in Bangladesh oppositely we – thle citizen must have to address officer as “SIR” with big voice; otherwise service may will not come easily without show ‘political power ‘ ( with reference to MP, Minister or Leaders ….). I wish soon Bangladeshi officer would understand their position from Master ( subjective ) to service provider ( objective). My quick feedback, in Bangladesh government system should start “REWARD and PUNISHMENT” system. Otherwise, the corruption will not stop, the professional service quality will not be provided.
